The more of us who sign - the louder we will be.

To John Boehner,

"Thank you for inviting Pope Francis to speak to congress. After listening to him speak, as a father, a leader and a Catholic please act.

Work together with Republican leadership to bring a strong climate bill to congress - one that protects our families, and secures the future safety of our nation."

Climate Action is a Christian Duty.

We have a Christian duty to protect our common home. We have a duty to the poor, the vulnerable and to future generations, and we have a duty to cherish our earth as a gift from god.

Climate Action shouldn't be political.

Back when Reagan was President and Margaret Thatcher was the Prime Minister of Great Britain climate change wasn't a left or right issue. Both of them agreed it was a serious threat, both of them took the science seriously and both of them wanted decisive action.

Check out this video with Mrs Thatcher's speech writer Lord Deben, for a fascinating insight into a time when acting on climate wasn't so controversial!

The Science is settled.

Pope Francis is backing the scientists.

From NASA '97% or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree: Climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities. In addition, most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position.'

In short - our use of fossil fuels is causing climate change.

Climate Action = Security, Safety & Freedom

Climate change would bring instability to our world, and threaten our security. But beating climate change is also an oppurtunity for us to build a future that gives us independence.

This is a campaign organised by OurVoices - the multi-faith climate action network.
